PathAble AI is a mission-driven innovation studio building smarter, practical AI tools for the disability community — by people with lived and professional experience in the field, for the people who do the work.

Founder and CEO Burt Brooks spent more than twenty years in human services, from direct support to running marketing for one of the largest disability service providers in New Jersey, before leaving in June 2025 to start PathAble. The company is built on the belief that the technology in disability services has too often been designed by people who have never done the work — and that affordable, plain-language AI, built with the community, can finally change that.

Recognition

PathAble AI won a CES 2026 "Innovation for All" award, landed its first pilot at Mercer County Community College, and joined the Multiple Launchpad accelerator. The company also publishes free disability-resource portals for every U.S. state and county.
