The PathAble AI Platform
Most disability service providers answer to several funders at once: vocational rehabilitation, a Medicaid waiver, behavioral health, a grant. Each one has its own forms, its own rules, and its own deadlines. PathAble AI is building one platform, with provider partners, that captures the work once, cleanly, and shapes it for each of them. The bar is simple: collect clean, auditable data, and make it ready for billing.
What we are building
- Documentation where the work happens. Job coaches, direct support professionals, and counselors write session and group notes once, at the point of service, tied to each person's goals and plan. Sign-in sheets are checked against group notes so a missing name surfaces before an auditor finds it.
- Records ready for every funder. Authorizations and units tracked against what was delivered, a supervisor review queue, due dates for intakes, plans, and reviews that carry the rule they come from, and an audit trail that cannot be edited after the fact. The platform produces documentation that supports billing; providers keep submitting to each payer the way they do today.
- AI Career Assistant. A plain-language companion on a participant's phone for workplace practice, reminders, and benefits questions.
How we build it
We start with the forms a provider uses today, talk to the front-line staff who write the notes, and put the rules (consent, the audit trail, who can see what) in the system itself. The platform is built to WCAG 2.2 AA and is HIPAA- and FERPA-conscious.

Community rehabilitation providers that run more than one program under one roof: supported employment, day and community services, behavioral health partial care, and Pre-ETS. Transition-age students are covered by the Pre-ETS Instruction Studio, which is available to see today.

Questions providers ask us
Why do job coaches spend so much time on paperwork?
Every service a job coach delivers has to be written up for whoever pays for it: case notes for the agency, progress reports for vocational rehabilitation, and billing records for Medicaid waivers or contracts. Each funder has its own format, so the same visit is often documented more than once, usually at the end of the day.
Is it safe to put client information into ChatGPT or other general AI tools?
Not with identifying information. Consumer AI tools are not covered by a HIPAA business associate agreement, so names, dates of birth, diagnoses, and other protected health information should never be pasted into them. Tools built for disability services should keep client data inside systems the provider controls.

It is being built with provider partners to do one thing well: collect clean, auditable service documentation once and make it ready for billing across every funder a provider answers to, such as vocational rehabilitation, Medicaid waiver services, behavioral health, and grants.
